Check out this video detailing a remarkably simple strategy I employ daily. In it, I demonstrate my approach to playing bounces, rejections, and breakouts. While I typically utilize the 15-minute Opening Range Breakout (ORB) strategy, you can experiment with both the 5-minute and 30-minute variations.

Hey what’s up guys so I’m going to go over one of my favorite trading strategies and super easy this is trading view um this works great for Futures Trading so if you’re trading prop firms or your own uh money in a Futures account um I only say that’s the best way because zero DTE options um just the Decay is so fast that um you know if the move doesn’t happen right away uh even a small move you will not uh earn
That much money plus it expires I’m not really into zero DTE so uh I recommend using futures or uh a prop firm to trade Futures so the indicator is just the orb 15 it’s basically a 15 minute the first 15 minutes of the the cues that range now when I trade Futures I know I’m trading NQ um but NQ and QQQ are basically the same so I chart it this way because it’s the first 15 minutes that the markets actually open
Uh I got five minutes here so there’s a couple rules I actually go by uh green is the top of the orb red is the bottom of the orb um in the morning you know just like this if we’re very strong out the gate uh I’m probably not not going to play a rejection off the 15 it it’s just one of those things uh I got to get a sense of the market most of the time obviously you can’t put this
Trade on for the first 15 minutes but a lot of times I am trading this 10:15 or on so even after the first 15 minutes I kind of even give it another half hour because sometimes you get um with so much volume you get oversized moves up or down so it’ll blow right through support or resistance and uh it’s not that true so this is Friday you could see uh it actually worked perfectly um I would say when you’re looking for
Rejections uh my goal is to get 10 points on Futures so if you’re playing with one contract that’s 200 bucks um these are easily 10o mov moves so that’s one two three 10-point moves to the bottom and the same to the other side my stop is is a 10-point stop uh I am working in something where I’ll buy three contracts sell two uh after 10 points and then uh take the one and I’ll have a a stop probably like uh seven
Points uh my stop would be three points into uh profit so it’ be a seven-point um allow for a seven-point dip so if it does keep on running I can then move that one extra contract um you know along the way and uh right here that would have worked great and then I would obviously take profit at the uh the bottom of the orb because down here I’d be looking for the bounce does this happen every day no um you know
On certain days like I said you have to get the feel of the mark Market this is why I don’t trade the bounce every day um this isn’t really a bounce this is just where the candle ended up closing and it just HP you know it just bounced the next candle but I would not really be looking for a a bounce here it’s too early on the trend was down um you know I I kind of want to let the volume
Settle out here you know here’s a good example uh you know I wouldn’t have played early on but then when it came back down I would have probably been looking for here I probably maybe would have got stopped out but as soon as we went back up into uh in here being that we were just below I probably wouldn’t do a three contract maybe I go light and I only do one um so I also size accordingly to the setups that
I see but it’s just areas of of Interest where you have the top orb if you’re inside the orb uh you know the trading range I would look for it to be resistance and uh the bottom to be support you also have to get the feel of the day is definitely a plus I do like that when we trade from one top of the Zone all the way to the bottom like you see here I definitely really like that and that’s
One where I would take a sizable position for for a bounce when you go from one from the top of the zone to the bottom kind of not straight down but kind of just grind down like that um I do like the top balances uh especially when you go really far above the uh the range here and then you come all the way back down that’s something I like rather than like these little bounces here would I try a long there
Uh probably especially if the market felt good um you know it’s not always going to bounce on on the line so if it didn’t go that much over maybe I take uh a one contract instead of a three for something like that so I’m just showing you examples and some days it’s just messy like if it’s messy like this I’ll probably just stay out of this trade um something like this I probably would have taken a trade right here and probably
Would have gotten stopped out and then I would have just said listen this is messy I also take a look at where um you know the pivots are and uh you know vwap so if it’s just like messy and it’s going way past my indicators and things like that I’ll just take a step back and let the market trade a little bit um but when I would see this come all the way back up to the top here I would definitely
Take a uh being that we went from one side like below the Zone into the zone and then to the top uh I would probably take a sizable position at the top um you know you just have to get the feel of the market you got to see you know what the leaders are doing what what Apple’s doing Nvidia is doing um you know so so I look at that stuff to kind of get a gauge as well but the bottom
Or I mean some a day like this I mean I would have played it once maybe I would have caught the bottom here twice and then three times um you know nothing is 100% so if you’re looking for that golden indicator that this is 100% it doesn’t exist so I’m just here to put the odds in my favor and that’s what this orb does and then I combine it with um with other indicators and uh that’s how I trade the 15minute
Uh open range Breakout
