My #1 Day Trading Strategy – Easy To Use And Very Simple

My #1 Day Trading Strategy – I like to keep things very simple when trading. I found this strategy about 4 years ago and since then it has been my go to. I like it because there is no bias and it allows me to leg into trades. Also forces me to stay out of trades when in the middle of trading ranges and not doing stupid trades. We have all over traded and this stopped me from doing that. Mostly I trade the NQ with this but it works well with stocks as well.

Welcome back to another video about my trading strategies, my daily recaps, my everything that’s going on with trading. Be sure to like, subscribe to the channel, and I basically drop videos every day. I recap things that I’ve traded, um just talk about different strategies like I’m going to do today, and all the uh market commentary and everything else that goes along with this. So, today I was going to go over my number one strategy for day trading. It’s pretty simple, actually.

So, what you’re looking at is TradingView in front of you. And I put on a free indicator. It’s called pivot points. So, within the indicators, type in pivots. It’s the first one. Just traditional, it sets it automatically. I don’t change settings. I don’t do anything. It is super simple to add. Um I do pay for TradingView, so I don’t know how if there is a free version, I’m not sure, but basically I pay the fee every month for this, and I

Believe because I have futures, I might pay five extra dollars for it, but you could do what what I do also is you could do it on the cues. Um I do trade Q pivot points as well. It works as you can see right there, and I’m going to go over all the different ways I play it and things like that right now. So, this is the NQ futures. This is what I primarily trade, and I roll out I have a

Couple different settings on here. I am going to just remove them so you don’t even see them on the chart. And now we’re just left with the pivot points. So, I found that this is probably my number one strategy. I basically use them for support. I use them for resistance. And the way I get in and out, um I don’t I pre- basically like a zone. So, for argument’s sake, I also don’t play many touches. So, I definitely play the first

Touch. And if we don’t really drop, for example, right here, we don’t really drop that much, I’m not looking to short it again. That’s so, I primarily play uh first touch for the most part, and sometimes I’ll play second touch. So, what I like to do, I’m just going to show you examples real quick. Um you know, you could see the first touch right here. You got it a large candle down. That was a 8:29. I mean, you’re looking at a

30-point move right there. That is a nice move. Um that was just yesterday. I mean, when you bounce, typically when you go from one pivot point to the next, uh that is a great trade coming up. So, like this was on Thursday, we literally went and dropped Man, what is that? That’s almost 200 points. When we hit that, so basically I lay again, I use um micros, so I do five at a at a clip. So, argument’s sake, say the pivot

Zone is right here, it’s 333. I’ll probably put one I’ll probably put a buy to buy five at uh you know, maybe 347, again at 340, and then I’ll put one right on there at 3:33. And then I put after so I I I probably put it at like 3:25, 3:20 and a move like this, a 200 point move down, I’m probably looking to accumulate about 40 to 50 uh micros, which would be equivalent to five um minis. Um with a

Bounce like this, I I mean, typically I start taking off um you know, at 10 to 12 points up, I’ll start taking off and then I’ll take off at, you know, 15, 20, 25 and like every five points I will continuously leak out my contracts. Um you know, for this example, I would have I would have been pretty much all out at at around 80. Um so on the first bounce, I would have I would have gotten you know, them all

Out profit. So being that it came down and touched the second time, I probably would have taken about 25. I would have probably legged in again. And I probably would have taken about 25 to 30. And I would have done the same strategy and I would have gotten uh gotten out again. I mean, those are massive gains. Um you know, you get just called 30 points and then another 30 points is 60 points. If you’re playing just one contract on 60

Points, I mean, one contract on 10 10 points is 200. So it’s $1,200 you could have made with just one. And when you’re playing five, that’s uh 50 micros that equivalent to five contracts. So I mean, you’re talking you’re talking grand. Um on on that. So, I mean, you can make a lot of money really quick on these pivot points. Um they do tend, you know, like anything, it never stops at just a line. It’s just an area of you know,

Where you’re probably going to see a pause on the upside or downside. And it happens all too often. All too often. I mean, you could just see multiple times. I typically also, um one of my rules is I definitely do not trade it within the last 15 minutes of the market because you get a lot of uh algo candles. So, I typically don’t trade the first 15 minutes of open and fit last 15 minutes because there’s too many algo candles. There’s

Too much volume going on that could definitely push it one way or the other. Also, when news comes out, all bets are off as well. Um if if there’s news that comes out, you’ll probably blow through them one way or the other. Um just that’s with any indicator. News uh surpasses all. And that’s um that’s pretty much the way way it goes. But you could just see countless times. So, here’s an example of one that you would you would definitely like

Grab some, but when you start seeing it making higher lows and you’re kind of staircasing up here, that to me is definitely a no-go. So, I put a I would have probably started grabbing some on these and we would have gotten a little move. And I probably would have loaded up again, and then we went down would have leaked out a couple, but as I would want it to break this low. And if we didn’t break this low, I’d have probably

Been all out. I would probably would have made a little bit of money here and I would have been gone. Um and then once we broke and and did this and start playing around I I wouldn’t have even played that cuz last 10 minutes or so of the market, we just broke over. I kind of like it. I like when we make the large moves. Like something like this, the large move. And then you hit it. Um that’s what I’m looking

For more than anything. Like when you go from this pivot point to this pivot point, that’s the type of move I’m looking for. And then when you consolidate here, I’m done with the pivot points. It’s it’s null null and void. Um you know, cuz eventually you are going to break through it. And when you do break through, you do get a nice move. I mean, that’s what happened here is we broke we we hit I played the move, and then we

Start consolidating. I remember this. Um This was just last week, and uh I went in pretty heavy, and we were below the pivot point, but I saw the consolidation and then other indicators that I use start coming into play, and uh you know, the pivot point’s holding it down, but I know once it breaks, we’re going for a ride. And sure enough, that’s exactly what happened. Um there’s other examples the same day was we had this massive drop. Um once this

Pivot point didn’t hold, uh I think I got out even or a small loss here, and then I kind of just watched, and we just blew right through. So, when we start accelerating like this to the downside, I don’t always um when we got here, I probably put orders above the pivot point cuz I want to see the pivot point hold and bounce through, and um we were just basically just selling off here. It was like one big waterfall and I’m

Not getting in front of that. So, I did like that we bounced. And then once we got here, I did take a shot. I took a shot because we were at See where it says S3? So, you’re you opened up today. You had support one, support two. You’re already at support three. It was definitely extended. Um, you know, we were down almost What is that? 300 points? So, I had to take a shot. I don’t think I went that heavy. I

Think I grabbed like 20 25 micros. And that’s what it was. Um, but yeah, this was a serious bounce and you could just see the pivot points coming to play all so often. You know, of just support, resistance. You know, support again. Resistance. And then sometimes you do blow through them. And you know, sometimes you will take that loss. So, my I usually gear up um, I’m probably at a 25 point uh, from the pivot point down or up, whatever way

You’re playing. I’ll take I’ll wait till it’s about 25 points before I take the loss. And the reason is cuz I’m still legging in. I’m I’m legging in a little above, at and a little below. So, after cuz a lot of times you will, like right here, you’ll get this wick below. And then sure enough, it it it bounced all the way back up. I mean, that’s 50-something points. So, it doesn’t look like there was a bounce here. It’s a 50-point

Bounce. I would have gotten all my contracts out. But, yeah, so something like this, I probably would have taken some type of loss. And you will take losses. That’s with any indicator, any trading. you’re going to take losses. Um but I keep this on and I can just show you examples and examples. But some days, look, the day opens and we don’t hit anything. There’s nothing. You just chopped. And you know what I do all day? I sit here and pretty

Much don’t trade. And it’s okay not to trade. Sometimes with the prop firms, you have to make a trade and then I will just, you know, go in small on something and and it is what it is. Um but yeah, so you know, I would definitely say put it on your chart. It’s just areas of interest. Um I only like making, you know, two or three like real trades during the day, sometimes one. And I when I say real, I mean

I go in with about five contracts or like I said, 50 micros. And that to me is full size. I’m in and I’m I’m here to make um thousands of dollars within one trade. I’m not looking to scalp. Um you know, when it gets around these areas of interest, I’m looking to I’m looking to grab contracts and looking to make real money. And um yeah, you could just see works all too often. Works too much to to deny it. And like

I said, sometimes, you know, you blow right through. And if you notice you’re blowing right through, just give it a second and see if it reclaims it. If it doesn’t reclaim it, just wait till the next one and just and so on. But sure enough, it will eventually reclaim and you get it on the way up. So, this is my my uh one of my top indicators that I for day trading. It’s all too much. It It works for me. Um

I have a couple others, as you see, I canceled them off. I don’t have all these I don’t draw all these trend lines. I don’t do all this other stuff. I keep it pretty simple. And I think that’s the best way to start off is find a simple uh indicator that you like, that works, and that’s the best way to make consistent money. Um I hope you enjoyed the video. Be sure to uh like, subscribe to the channel. I’ll trade live

During the week. I post my recap videos. And I will um I’ll just keep coming out with content. And uh if you have any questions, comment on the video and I’ll uh get right back to you.
