CoveTrader Discount Finder — Privacy Policy

Overview
CoveTrader Discount Finder is a free browser extension that detects coupon/promo code fields on supported futures prop firm checkout pages and offers to fill in the COVETRADER discount code. The code is first applied when you click the on-screen button; that first click also turns on automatic mode for future checkouts, which is disclosed on screen at the time and can be turned off anytime in the settings. Extension users also unlock a free library of TradingView indicators on covetrader.com.
Data we collect
We collect a small amount of anonymous usage data to understand how the extension is used and to manage access to the free indicator library:
- A random install ID. When installed, the extension generates a random identifier (a UUID) stored in your browser. It is not linked to your name, email, account, or any personal information, and it cannot identify you.
- Usage events. When the discount prompt is shown, and when you click to apply the code, the extension sends a small event to covetrader.com noting that it happened, the prop firm site it happened on, and the random install ID. This tells us how often the extension is helping and lets us keep the free indicators available to genuine users.
We do not collect your name, email, IP address, location, passwords, payment details, page content, or your browsing history. We do not sell or share this data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising, profiling, or creditworthiness.
What is stored in your browser
Your settings (the discount code text and the on/off and automatic-mode toggles) and the random install ID are saved using the browser’s built-in extension storage. Settings stay in your browser; only the anonymous events described above are sent to covetrader.com.
Permissions
- Storage — saves your settings and the anonymous install ID.
- Access to supported prop firm websites — so the extension can find the coupon field on those checkout pages. It reads only what’s needed to locate that field and never records or transmits payment details or other page content.
- Access to covetrader.com — to send the anonymous usage events and to check whether the free indicator library should unlock for this install.
Your choices
Uninstalling the extension stops all data collection and removes the stored install ID and settings from your browser.
Affiliate disclosure
COVETRADER is an affiliate/referral code. When you choose to apply it at a participating firm, you may receive a discount and CoveTrader may receive a commission from the firm at no additional cost to you.
